Inquiring Minds...

Okay, this is just for Angie...and anyone else who wondered, but didn't ask. lol

Do you live really far from church and drink it all on the way or do you save it in your vehicle until after church?

No, we actually live very close to church and the McDonald's is just a block or so away. But, then, maybe there's something you should know about our church. It's in a movie theater.

Yep, a movie theater. It's a new church plant that hasn't found a permanent home yet. It's very casual and is geared toward drawing in folks who might not attend a more traditional church. We visited for the first time, nearly two years ago, because we had been church hunting and hadn't found anything and we knew the pastor of this new church plant.

My family and I have always been in church, so this is very different for us, but we like the contemporary worship, the friendliness of the people and the casual style.

There are coffee and doughnuts available in the mornings. I'm not a coffee-drinker, so I take my tea. ;-) And, I usually finish in Life Class (a.k.a. Sunday School).

See, you thought it was going to be a simple answer, didn't you? ;-)

  2. Wow -- it's like I'm a celebrity. Seriously...what post can I write to only you on my blog? LOL

Anyway, I have to admit, I did take into consideration that it was possible that you were drinking it *at* church. But, that is so far from the norm from me that I thought, "That can't be it though, can it?"

I have to say -- I went from a pretty up tight church (everyone dressed up, times when I had a horrible chest cold, my Mom wouldn't even let me take a bottle of water, if a child got even a tiny bit loud, there were tons of stares until you would take them out, etc.) and then moved to being Catholic. (Which, I realize, some people will think that the first description is very Catholic, but it's so totally not like our parish.) But, in Catholicism, you aren't supposed to eat or drink (apart from water) for an hour before Communion.

So, given my background, the thought of picking up a drink for church seemed so foreign.

Thanks for the special post just for me! ;)
