Weekly Wrap-Up Guidelines

The Weekly Wrap-Up is a weekly meme designed to allow homeschooling families to share what we've been doing in our homeschools.  The Weekly Wrap-Up is posted late on Friday afternoons each week in order to give everyone a chance to include, in their wrap-up post, any fun activities that they enjoyed on Friday.

The guidelines for the Weekly Wrap-Up are pretty simple:
  • Post the highlights of your week, in a family-friendly format. Your post and your blog must be G-rated in order to participate.
  • When possible, try to include an idea, resource or activity that was a big hit at your house this week. We could all use some new ideas and inspiration.  Links and photos are very much appreciated, but not required.
  • Sign up on Linky Tools
  • Please be sure to link back to the current Weekly Wrap-up here at Weird, Unsocialized Homeschoolers somewhere in the body of your post so that your readers will know where to go to join in the fun.
  • When you post your link on Linky Tools, be sure to link directly to your Weekly Wrap-Up post, not to your home page, so that it's easy for others to find when they come to visit your blog.
  • Though it's not required that you include the Weekly Wrap-Up graphic, you're welcome to do so.  You can copy and paste the following code if you'd like to include the graphic:
<center><a href="http://www.weirdunsocializedhomeschoolers.com/search/label/Weekly%20Wrap-up"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v506/kbmomto3/weeklywrap-up2.jpg" /></a></center>
I think that's it. I'm looking forward to hearing about everyone's week! I hope you'll spread the word about the Weekly Wrap-Up so that we can get lots of participation and be able to share lots of great tips and ideas.

    1. I like this idea! Since switching gears with our curriculum and approach, I haven't posted much recently on my blogs. I thought about trying to at least put up one post each week telling some high lights of our week of school. How cool that you're deciding to host a meme specifically for this! I actually did a wrap-up this past weekend about our schooling.

      Take care,
      Karen

    2. Great idea. I'll try to get on board with this - if I can figure out the linky thing. :)
I look forward to hearing from other homeschoolers.

    3. Dusti,

Mr. Linky is easy. I'll post a Mr. Linky at the bottom of each Weekly Wrap-Up. You just put your name in the first box and the "permalink" to your blog post in the second one. Then, hit enter. That's all there is to it.

The permalink is the link to your actual blog post, not the front page of your blog. If you're on Blogger, you can just click the title of your post and it will open up a screen with just that post. You can right click the title in your browser's window to copy it, then, just paste it in the Mr. Linky box.

      HTH!

    4. I am interested on getting started with this next week. I did our week 1 wrap up on Friday, so I will be sure to do another one this week for the next wrap up :)

Just started following you. Actually just started to get involved with reading blogs and doing my own blog.  This sounds fun.  I probably won't be joining in soon being that I'm a newbie to blogging and we don't really do school during the Summer.  But maybe reading your Friday wrap will ispire me to blog about what we do during the Summer. =)
