Around: the homeschooling lifestyle zine

If you're a regular reader of my blog, you've probably noticed the Around 'Zine logo in my right sidebar. Around is a brand-new magazine for homeschoolers. I was asked, in late November, to contribute to the inaugural issue and I was very excited to receive my copy of Issue 1 in the mail on Thursday.

Around is independently edited and published by Laura of Seabird Chronicles and the first issue features eight articles and a book review, as well as several smaller features, by five contributors. If you like my blog, you'll probably like the style of Around -- it offers some fun tips and ideas in a relaxed, informal manner. It's like sitting around chatting with a friend over coffee.

Around comes in a handy 8.5 X 5 size and features articles such as Crafts for Young Children, Introducing Children to Spanish and Creatively Photographing Children..and my contribution: Caffeine, Chocolate and Mom in the Middle.

From inside the front cover of Around Zine:

There are many practical and scholarly homeschooling resources...

Around Zine is not one of them.

There's a lot more to our lives than homeschooling (right??). Around is an insightful and thought-provoking zine, but also fun and a bit zany...it will inspire amuse and delight you!

You can click the link in my sidebar to order your copy of Issue 1 or for more information about contributing to Issue 2.
