Last week I mentioned my library book forms, for keeping track of which library books we have, which library they came from and when they're due. I have to admit, though, that I really don't use that form much anymore. With both of our local library's now offering online account information, I have a new technique.
At both libraries, I can now go online to view which books we have checked out and when they're due. I can also renew online. Remembering to do so seems to be my problem. So, I use the calendar feature in Windows Mail. I know that Yahoo and, I think Google, both offer a calendar feature as well. I put a note on the calendar on the date that the books are due with a note, when necessary, indicating which library they were from. Then, I set up a reminder for the day before they're due.
The day before my books are due, I get a handy email reminder. I can then either return them or go online and renew them. It works for me!
