My youngest daughter is twelve years old. She has her own sense of style, and that is reflected in her room decor. She is passionate about animals. Therefore, her walls are decorated with posters featuring dogs of all shapes and sizes.

In addition to dogs, however, she loves to decorate her room with inspirational quotes. She’s had a tough year with some injuries and illnesses that have rocked our year. At times, she’s been discouraged and disappointed and just plain bored.

Throughout the year, she has spent time scouring the web (with my supervision, of course) for inspirational quotes that she can decorate her room with. She prints them out, colors them, and hangs them up to be inspired by. She has them on her bedroom door, her walls, and even on her magnet board in our homeschool room.

  1. These are great and I pinned a bunch of them.

    Question for you…
what would I call a unit study about being responsible, taking care of self, body awareness, life skills. I’m trying to find resources/books at the library but not sure of keywords or what to include. Trying to foster independence and taking initiative, being helpful, doing things for self, being aware of others needs, etc. ages 4 and 7 (advanced reader).

  2. OOps! I forgot where I came from! It was a post about 83 screen free things for kids to do, and she linked to this post.
    I’m a Christ follower too!
I’m going to print out the Scriptures. Thank you.
