This week my 3 year old was sick, but not so sick (she only threw up a few times) that she minded sitting on the couch and listening to reading, and watching her sister do activities. We completed most of that school day. If the 1 year old was sick... I'm sure I would have had to call school off for the day. I have had health issues for the last 6 years of our 16 years of homeschooling and have had to just push through. I thought it was an even better reason to homeschool and not put the kids in public school. On the sickest days, I stayed in bed and the kids had to work on their own as best as they could.(I had older kids who were wonderful.) On better days, they could join me in the bed. On good days, I stationed myself on the couch. I purposed to keep going, to not let myself get crabby and stressed because I didn't feel good, and I learned to study the really important things.

Above all, I cherished the time with my kids.
