I know most of you, like me, are probably too busy with last-minute Christmas preparations to be spending much time online this week. So, I thought instead of sharing new stuff you may not have time to read, I’d share some of my favorite things from around the Internet lately. That way, you’ll be able to grab something to read when you just have a few minutes – like when you’re waiting for the oven timer to go off and let you know it’s time to take out a batch of cookies and add another.

Enjoy this collection of excellent articles from around the Internet during the little pockets of time you find this week.

100 Reasons to Homeschool from Michelle at The Heart of Michelle – This is one of the posts that you may want to print and hang onto for the rough days.

50 Christmas Memories Journal Prompts from Kim at In Our Write Minds – I love this idea for starting a family Christmas journal. It’s not too late to start one for this year!

Advice and Encouragement for New Homeschoolers from me, but read by Angie at Real Life at Home – Angie read a post I wrote for her site awhile back on her podcast last week. I loved hearing my words in her radio announcer voice. Since it’s a podcast, it’s perfect to listen to while wrapping presents this week.

50 Reasons Homeschooling Parents Love Homeschooling from me, just in case you missed it!

Writer’s Workshop: Blackout Poetry from Eva at Eva Varga – I love this idea for recycling (or is it up-cycling?) newspaper articles or old books. It appeals to my both my artsy creative side and my writer creative side. We are so doing this in school next month!

To the Trader Joe’s Employee Who Noticed My Family in the Parking Lot from Lauren at The Mighty Superheroes Among Us – This was a Facebook gem I discovered while scrolling recently. It’s a fantastic reminder to do the little things. They matter.

Snow Globes from Tori at Tori’s Teacher Tips – This was another gem I discovered – on Pinterest this time. It’s a cute craft that would work well for a snow-theme in January – or it may just give the kids something fun to do this week while you finish up last minute things.

2014 in Review: Top 10 Posts from the Homeschool Showcase by Michelle at The Heart of Michelle – There were some really great posts highlighted in this Homeschool Showcase edition, including one for building a life-size TARDIS that my 19-year-old Doctor Who fan would probably enjoy despite the fact that she’s 19. Hey, it looked like fun!

A Step-by-Step Guide to Peaceful Homeschool Mornings from Pam at Ed Snapshots – If you’re like me, you’re probably going to need to read this as a refresher before resuming school in January.

100 Fun Family Activities For Every Season from Jo at Lasting Thumbprints – I already see some on the winter list I want to do soon.

What Christmas activities are you and your family enjoying this week?
