Nope, that’s not a typo. I was wracking my poor, feeble, over-worked brain for what to write about for this week’s List-It Tuesday post. For inspiration, I was looking back through some of my post Top 10 type posts…and there’s some pretty good stuff in the archives that I bet some of you have missed.

So….

I decided to list some of my personal favorite Top 10 posts, which means I now give you my Top Ten Top 10.

1. 10 Ways to Display or Recycle Kid Art – If you’ve got kids, chances are your fridge is overflowing with their creations. This posts offers 10 creative ways to get your kids’ masterpieces off your fridge without hurting anyone’s feelings.

2. 10 Uses for Old Magazines – Is your home overflowing with old magazines? It can be hard to toss them because you might need them for something. I’ve got 10 creative ideas that don’t involve the recycle bin.

3. 10 Weight-Loss Do’s and Don’ts – I need to re-read this one as a refresher since I’ve really been battling my weight and food temptations lately.

4. 10 Quick and Healthy Lunches – I’ve been on a soup and sandwich kick lately, but these are some of my favorite meals for when I’m feeling slightly more creative.

5. Top 10 Favorite Homeschool Resources – It’s fun to go back and read these type posts to see what’s changed. I found it funny that I listed All About Spelling and Easy Grammar as two curriculum choices we’d go back to – and we’re using both of them again now, along with REAL Science Odyssey, which I also mentioned being something we’d use again.

Switched on Schoolhouse isn’t something I think I’d use again with Josh and Megan, but it fit Brianna for that particular homeschooling season. She never did go back to Thinkwell, though we considered it. She opted for Teaching Textbooks again.

6. 10 Tips for Starting to Homeschool – If you’re just considering starting to homeschool, you might want to consider these 10 tips.

7. 10 Lies People Believe About Homeschool Families – Totally tongue-in-cheek, this post still makes me chuckle.

8. 10 Tips for Reading Aloud to Kids – Number 8 may be the most important.

9. 10 Hands-On Science Activities for Kids – I love science and it’s at its best when it’s hands-on.

10. 10 Hands-On History and Geography for Kids – History is probably my favorite subject. Great books and hands-on activities are just icing on my history cake.

Did you find any posts that you enjoyed that you missed the first time around?

  1. As someone who just had her 11th baby eight months ago, let’s just say I’m not the size 0 I once was, so I really enjoyed #3. #7 has always been one of my favorites, so I’m going to reread that right now! Thanks for the link-up!

  2. I really appreciated #5. I am also using All About Spelling and REAL science, but am thinking about switching to Trail Guide to Learning. You mentioned that you went back to All About Spelling and REAL science, are you doing those with Trail Guide to Learning, or did you stop doing Trail Guide to Learning?
