D o you know what starts in just a couple of months? If you’re a homeschooling mom or dad I bet you do…homeschool convention season! I know you know because many of you have already been talking about it and you’re getting excited, just like me.
Usually, I just attend my local curriculum fair. I’ve been to one of the bigger ones before, with big-name speakers, but my local fair is so convenient and meets my needs, so most years I just stick with it.
Not this year, though! This year, I’ve been invited to attend Teach Them Diligently in Nashville. I’ll be one of the bloggers invited to cover the event on my blog, Facebook and Twitter and I can’t wait! Have you seen their speaker line-up?
They’re going to have speakers like:
- Sally Clarkson
- Pam Tebow
- Debra Bell
- Davis and Rachel Carmen
- Ken Ham
- Heather Laurie
- Crystal Paine
- Shirley Solis
- Heidi St. John
- and many, many more!
I’ve shared my curriculum fair survival tips before, but I may need to update my list for this one. Talk about information overload! I’m excited about the vendor line-up, as well. Some of the ones I’m really excited about are:
- My friends at Bright Ideas Press
- The wonderful folks at Doorposts
- Growing Healthy Homes
- Home Educating Family
- See the Light (We’ve enjoyed a couple of their products)
Will you be attending any of the Teach Them Diligently conferences? They’ll be in:
If you’re going to Nashville, let me know. I’d love to see you there!

As a member of the Teach Them Diligently blogger team, I have received my conference registration at no cost. I write about the convention on a volunteer basis. All posts are my own thoughts. I am not an employee, agent, or contractor of the conference or its organizers.

My best girlfriend and I just booked our room for Nashville! We are so excited. I attend the same local fair that you do, and while it’s a good fair I’m really looking forward to seeing some vendors that don’t make it to our fair. This will be my first big homeschool conference.
If you see me, I hope you’ll stop me and say hello.
I am still hoping and praying for this to come to southern California!!!!!!!!!! Don’t they know that there are airplanes that can fly OVER the Rocky Mountains? ;-D
I look forward to your updates from the convention.
