Weekly Wrap-Up

Happy Friday, y’all! I hope you’ve all had a fantastic week. It’s been a rather difficult one here, but things are looking up.

I hate when people are cryptic online, but I try to be as transparent as possible. Although the situation we’ve been facing is private and not for public fodder, I want those of you who read my blog to know that I’m human. I don’t live this picture-perfect life.

I want you to know that, if you’re going through some difficult things, you’re not alone.

Despite some difficult days, the week has had some bright spots. I posted the following photo on Instagram last weekend. Because there are wildfires burning all around us, the first few days of the week the sky was so smoke-filled that it appeared to be an overcast day.

About midweek, firefighters finally started getting some of the fires contained, and the air started clearing up. The last couple of days have been gorgeous – bright, blue skies; colorful fall leaves; warm temperatures (yesterday it was near 80 degrees), and loads of sunshine. Of course, as beautiful as it was, we’d all be glad to see some significant rainfall.

This weekend, I’m away on a working/crafting/hanging out retreat with friends. I arrived Wednesday. Some ladies are sewing, some scrapbooking, some painting…and then there’s this one lady who’s blogging. {grin}

But, that lady isn’t going to keep blogging. She’s going to hang out, talk with friends, and drink too much of the Chick-fil-A tea she picked up before she left. So, y’all enjoy your weekend!

Before I go – or you know, she goes – in case you missed it last week, I offered 7 Tips for Homeschooling Teens over at About.com.

Now, I’m outta here so I can enjoy my weekend with friends.

  1. Praying for tough times to go away and good times to come 🙂 I hope you are having a wonderful time away with your tea…(I didn’t even know you could buy tea in containers such as that. I need to rally for coffee to come super size!) Enjoy yourself!
