Blogging Holiday

I’m taking a blogging holiday today. No, it’s not because I procrastinated about writing two guest posts and stayed up entirely too late writing those. (Okay, maybe a little bit.) And, it’s not because I wasted too much time on Words with Friends or Draw Something. (Okay, maybe a little bit.)
It’s because it’s my birthday!
This is not a shameless plug to get you to leave me a comment telling me happy birthday. (Okay, maybe a little.) Mostly, it’s just me still loving my birthday, even though I’m forty-something.
So, what’s on tap for today?
A nice run to start the day. Then, I think I’ll go to – where else? – Chick-Fil-A for lunch since they offer a free birthday meal. (And because of the sweet tea…I may allow myself an extra refill today.) Later, it’s dinner with the extended family. It should be a great day.

I didn’t know Chick-fil-a offered a free birthday meal! We dress up each year for Cow Day and get free food. It’s the best! Happy birthday!
It’s only one of our local CFA restaurants that does the free birthday meal, so I know all of them don’t. I wound up not going. I decided that I didn’t want to fight that location’s insane lunch crowds to pay $20 for the kids to eat so I could have a “free” meal. I just enjoyed a nice, quiet day at home.
