It’s the season of novel-length school supply lists and crowded back-to-school aisles at the stores. I may not have to stock up on a laundry list of items, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t love a great back-to-school sale. This time of year means brand-new boxes of freshly-sharpened crayons, dry erase markers that aren’t dried out, and $0.50 composition books.

It also means the annual Great Products $5.99 homeschool t-shirt sale! All regular t-shirts are only $5.99 each from now until September 10, which means my family gets shiny new shirts to go with our shiny new school supplies.

Homschool T-Shirt Sale - Regular homeschool tees on sale for $5.99 from Aug. 10 - Sept. 10, 2015

Homeschool T-Shirts for Your Homeschool Support Group

We’ve been purchasing homeschool shirts from Great Products since way back in our early days of homeschooling:

Blog Kids

Did you know that our signature unsocialized homeschooler shirts were not the first shirts we purchased from Great Products? Our first-ever order was for our homeschool support group. Many of our kids had come from public school settings and missed being able to show their school spirit with a school t-shirt.

So, we voted and the winner was the definitions shirt. It was exciting for the kids to realize that they could have a connection with the other kids in the group through matching shirts – and even during the $5.99 sale, Great Products will add your homeschool group name to the back of your shirt for an extremely reasonable fee. The kids loved wearing those shirts on group outings.

Do you want to hear something crazy? (Maybe it’s not crazy to you, but it definitely is to me.) Many of the kids who wore those shirts are now homeschool graduates and the youngest of them are middle and high school students. Where does the time go?

Homeschool T-Shirts for Your Family

This year, our selections included a military-themed homeschool shirt for the boy…

…an understated gray-on-black design for the girl…

….and a nifty homeschool revolution print on crimson for my Alabama-loving husband (who still wears his I’m in love with my kid’s teacher shirt on a regular basis).

Revolution Homeschool Shirt

I wish I’d seen these Disney-font homeschool shirts before we went to Disney this summer. How fun would that have been?

New! Long-Sleeved Homeschool T-Shirts!

Brianna didn’t get a shirt this year since she graduated last year, but I chose a brand-new option – a long-sleeved homeschool t-shirt.

Long-sleeve homeschool t-shirts

I stay cold in the winter (and quite a bit during the other seasons, as well), but I don’t like to be bundled up. Usually just having something on my arms is enough, which is why I love long-sleeved t-shirts – plus, I thought the image I chose might be a fitting reminder during the long winter months.

Speaking of fitting (did you see what I did there?), I like the way the long-sleeve shirt fits. I ordered it a bit large because I go for loose and comfy around the house, plus, there is a strong possibility I’ll be wearing it over another shirt when the weather gets really nippy.

It seems true to size, except that it seemed a bit snug in the upper arm, but that might just be me. {ahem} (I just love the places fat chooses to settle on women.) The sleeves are straight all the way down with no cuff, which I wasn’t too crazy about because, since I go for loose an comfy, it’s nice to have a cuff to keep the sleeves around my wrists. However, my husband said that he prefers no cuffs, so that’s all a matter of personal preference.

My fat, short arms aside, I really like the new long-sleeve homeschool t-shirts. It’s going to make a great homeschool mom uniform this fall and winter – if not sooner. I’ve been sitting around with chill bumps on my arms this last week when the indoor temperature was in the mid-seventies. Seriously, I’m not sure I have normal amounts of blood. (Okay, not seriously.)

The long-sleeve t’s aren’t included in the $5.99 sale, but you can take 20% off of them and all other apparel that’s not on sale using coupon code SAVE20 at checkout from now until September 10.

  1. If I won, I would get the 100% original t-shirt with all the homeschooled famous people in sunglasses ;). It’s pretty sweet. My kids would think I’m weird, but then, they do anyway ;).

  2. If I were to win, I would get one of the hoodies!! I like to be warm during the winter months, too, and love to snuggle in sweatshirts. Unfortunately, I need the 3XL (to fit my *ahem* larger busty area) and the only things that come in that size are the hoodies. But my boys would LOVE the “Homeschool kid by day, Ninja by night” shirts!! And for my hubby, I’m not sure; I’d have to get his input. Sure hope I win!!

  3. I would choose either Homeschool mom by day…Ninja by night OR Dictionary definition of Homeschool. I think! 🙂 So many cool ones!

  4. Love the shirt your daughter has! I think I would order that one for myself and my daughter…perhaps even my son. 🙂

  5. I shared the sale info. with our homeschool support group. Our family se would be glad to win some of these great shirts!

  6. Love these shirts and we’ve all been wearing them for years. I order 10 at a time and get our school name printed on the back. This might be harder as my kids sizes aren’t changing as frequently, but I will still make it happen. We all love wearing our school name in unique homeschool styles.

  7. I really like a lot of these. My favorite is, “Don’t interrupt me I’m in the middle of a parent teacher conference.”

  8. I like the “I love my kids teacher” shirt. That cracks me up! Thanks for all the bits of wisdom you share.

  9. Love the Disney one! We are huge Disney fans. My daughter just added the zombies one to our list. Crazy kid!

  10. There are a TON of cool shirts on Great Products! The “contaminated homeschooler” and the “homeschool revolution” ones are my favorite. I would love to win a t-shirt from Great Products.

  11. I love the “I’m in love with my kids teacher” sweatshirt! I also love the Originals shirt. My kids love the Zombie one of course.

  12. We would have to take a vote but my favorites are the Rooted & Grounded, Original Homeschoolers, and color your own shirts. The Disney one is pretty cute too… note sure the boys will go for that one 😉 Thanks for the giveaway.

  13. I LOVE ALL OF THEM! The first homeschoolers is a favorite – I posted that it needs to be on a shirt. Not just a mousepad. I think I will need Cris’ shirt for each of us in January! Ok… Mind Craft – building a future!

  14. We love this site and have purchased t-shirts or the entire family the past two years! We would love to win more great tees!!

  15. I love their Homeschool Myth shirt, but I’d probably choose the same one as your husband, I love the British coat of arms looking lion, HOMESCHOOL REVOLUTION!

  16. This is a hard choice! I am torn between ‘in love with my kids’ principal’, ‘just add coffee’, and ‘forgot to socialize the kids’. With the great sale, I just might get all 3! lol

  17. I always say I’m going to buy shirts when the sale comes up & we never seem to have the funds! I really hope we win!

  18. My youngest wants the Minecraft shirt. My oldest wants the Awesome Homeschool Kid. And I LOVE the Homeschool Mom, just add coffee! We are new to homeschool this year and are trying to have fun during the change!

  20. Every year my son asks for an orange Homeschool Student shirt. This year he’s excited that his little brother will get a matching orange “Future Homeschool Student” shirt. My daughters grab their yearly “Homeschool Girl” fitted Tees, and my husband and I get our matching Homeschool Mom/Dad of 4 shirts.

  21. I recently ordered the Jedi shirt for my son. Now I want the Everything is Awesome one for him and the Home school Mom, there is no substitute for me.

  22. I would have to order the one that says “homeschool mom, just add coffee” with a close second to “Homeschool mom, there is no substitute” 😉 So many great choices for my kids too!

  23. We hope to place an order this week. I organized a t-shirt order from a local shop in our area last year. I think this would have been much easier. I have enjoyed your site – just found it in the last month. Thank you!

  24. Oh goodness, they are all so fun! It would be between the Jedi shirt and The World is our Classroom Disney shirt… probably that one! What a great giveaway! Thanks for the chance to win!
