In case you’ve wondered where I’ve been, our area was hit with a series of severe tornadoes last Wednesday evening. Our family was very fortunate not to have any damage, but many in our area were not so lucky. Our city suffered 8 deaths, while my in-law’s county suffered 32.

Many homes and businesses were completely destroyed with many, many others suffering some degree of damage.

The worst our family suffered was a brief power outage and continued cable and Internet outage – minor inconveniences to be sure, but the reason I haven’t been online. As of this writing, we’re still without cable and Internet access. I’m posting from my in-law’s house right now.

I’m hoping that, by the time you read this, we’ll be back online, though I’ll probably still be scarce around here. My family and I will be taking as many opportunities to volunteer as we can this week. It’s going to take awhile for many affected families and businesses to get back on their feet. I’m sure they would appreciate your prayers.

  1. I did wonder if you guys were hit. I am glad it wasn't bad. My parents had three tornadoes in their little town! Thankfully they only churned up farmland.
