We love having pulled pork BBQ sandwiches. They are so easy! I cook it all in the crock pot, using the BBQ seasoning that I modified from McCormick’s recipe:

1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
2 teaspoons liquid smoke (hickory)

Mix all ingredients together and pour over 3 lb. pork roast in the crock pot. Cook for 6-8 hours on low. Pull pork apart with a fork, stir in liquid in crock pot and heat for 30 minutes. Serve on hamburger buns.

Yum!

  1. Your menu sounds very good. LOL.. had to laugh at your making it up as you go! That is the sign of a good cook, hon! 🙂 I often put chicken in the crock with potatoes and veggies and call it chicken stew. LOVE IT! 🙂

  2. Yum! I love making my own BBQ sauce. It just tastes so much better and depending on my mood I can add whatever I want. Sometimes I add molasses, mustard, worcestershire sauce, honey, whatever I feel like. I always start it off by sauteing some onion in butter than adding all the other good stuff.
