Mmmm…Cookies

With both older kids gone last night, we found ourselves with a youngest who, while happy to have Mom and Dad’s undivided attention, was feeling disappointed that her friend couldn’t come visit and a little bored. It sounded like the perfect time to bake some chocolate chip cookies together.
I’m very much a control freak, but I fought back the urge and let Megan do most of the cookie-making on her own. Her favorite part was wielding the mixer.
She did desert me during the actual baking time since her favorite show was on TV.
I think I handled that part well enough though. There’s nothing like fresh chocolate chip cookies, warm from the oven.

I need to do some cookery with my two this week. They love it but its always bottom of the list. Will do my best to do some though this weekend.

yum, I love chocolate chip cookies too! My daughters and I make them all the time together. They are 6 and 3, so sometimes it gets interesting. Just like yours, mine also leave at the baking time… lol. Thanks for sharing. Jenni
It’s nice to get that one-on-one time with each child. Sometimes my life gets so busy, I forget to do this.
And with chocolate chips cookies…yum!
