It’s time to celebrate those Non-Scale Victories — those weight-loss moments that occurred somewhere other than the scale.  Take some time each week to reflect on those small successes that add up to huge weight-loss results for you.  Share them here and let us celebrate with and be inspired by you.

My big NSV this week happened Thursday.  I had two kids that were sick and, honestly, I just didn’t want to go to the Y.  I was planning to, though, after my husband got home from working out at his gym.

He came home early, though.  I asked him why he didn’t go to the gym.  He told me he was feeling lazy and didn’t want to go.  I thought I might go early, then, so I could get home early.  I asked Brianna if she was going with me.  Nope, she didn’t want to go either.

I had every excuse : two sick kids and two lazy people who couldn’t very well give me any grief for not going.  But, you know what?  I went anyway.  Not only was I very proud of myself for staying committed, but I actually felt much better, physically, for having gone.

What about you?  Did you enjoy and non-scale victories this week?

  1. Even though my scale seems to be broken – my clothes are fitting! I have a horrid picture in which I was tagged by a friend last spring where I was playing baseball. My pants were UNSNAPPED in the picture, and folded down, when I threw the ball, my shirt was up a bit, and it all showed. Oh I love tagged photos. 🙂 (I did learn how to untag). Well, I took those shorts out to do some beach coming and TAH DAH! They are loose. I may never take them off . . . . The boys are commenting on how great my legs look, and I feel great. Today we will walk for possibly hours looking for sand dollars on the beach, and I'm looking forward to it!

  2. YAY YOU! Let's see ….

I am becoming more and more aware of how dishes are put together. That's mostly out of necessity because I am traveling so much at the moment, and I have to eat out. I'm keeping in contact with my healthy buddies to keep me focused. I could just give up because of these circumstances, but I will not!

Also, I'm using the treadmill at the hotel, which is a nice change because I don't have one at home!
