This Friday, the latest movie produced by Mark Burnett and Roma Downey hits theaters. Son of God. The husband/wife duo Mark (Survivor, Apprentice, Shark Tank) and Roma (Touched By An Angel), produced THE BIBLE mini-series which aired last year. THE BIBLE was the most watched mini-series in the history of American TV! Son of God, is a major motion film about the life of Jesus from birth through ascension, and it is releasing this Friday, Feb. 28, in over 3,000 theatres nationwide.
Mark and Roma are believers who are passionate about bringing Jesus into “water cooler” conversations. They want people everywhere to be talking about Jesus! For that reason, they have provided a number of FREE teaching resources for people to use for either personal or group study.
There is also a 21 day devotional from American Bible Society, and a number of commentaries provided by faith leaders. These could be Bible lessons, or devotionals. The movie is PG-13, so the recommended grade level for resources is 7th and above.

I only recently heard of this movie coming out and I am super excited to see it!
As a believer in Christ I want to see this because there aren’t very many Christian movies produced and released. Also, excited to have a truly meaningful, family friendly movie in the the theaters. And, as a family of five we just don’t get to the theater (other than out discount theater) very often. It’s just too expensive!
This would be such a blessing to our family for sure. We do not venture to the movies often and we have not had TV for 6 years now…asit a choice. But as of late with all the movies and shows being put out there sharing the Gospel of Christ it sure is encouraging and promotes hope. We will likely see it weather we win the tickets or not…Thank you for the giveaway!
A few nights ago, I saw an hour long show on TV that talked about the making of the movie and people’s reactions to it. I was moved while watching the clips and hearing the words of those who had seen the film, so I am looking forward to seeing how the Holy Spirit uses this film to reveal the love of Jesus.

I definitely want to see Son of God because anytime there is a Jesus honoring product out there in film or the arts or media, I want to try to support them. But, when I watched this trailer and I could feel the tears coming up in my eyes I knew I would be the one blessed to view this movie! I would love to see God’s word in live action. My children, especially, would benefit from watching this, as I think it would seem more real to them, if that makes any sense.
