Next May, I’ll be attending the Teach Them Diligently Convention in Nashville, Tennessee. There are two other locations, as well – Spartanburg, South Carolina and Omaha, Nebraska.

I heard tons of people talking about Teach Them Diligently this past spring – about the fantastic speakers and the incredible vendor line up.

I thought it was just a very popular convention in the South Carolina area. It wasn’t until later that I learned that it was a brand-new convention. Last year was its first year and it was a smashing success. So much so that it’s been expanded to two new locations this year – the Nashville and Omaha conventions.

Teach Them Diligently is a unique convention for Christian homeschooling parents. It is unique in that its vendors all hold a Christian worldview and the speakers are not only homeschooling speakers, but also those whose sessions are designed to encourage attendees in both their Christian walk and their role as parents.

The Teach Them Diligently Convention focuses on homeschooling, discipleship, and parenting.

Not all speakers will be at all locations, so you’ll want to click on the location you’re considering attending to find out, for sure, who will be there. Some of the speakers who’ve already been announced for the Nashville event include:

  • Davis and Rachel Carmen (I heard Rachel speak at the 2:1 Conference last year and she was phenomenal)
  • Clay Clarkson
  • Ken Ham
  • Sonya Schafer
  • Heidi St. John
  • Israel Wayne
  • Heather Laurie

There are many, many more…including one that has just been announced. It’s a certain homeschooled football player’s mama. You may recognize the name: Pam Tebow.

The convention is being held at the beautiful Gaylord Opryland Hotel. I’ve only been there once, many, many years ago, but it was gorgeous! They’re offering steeply discounted room rates for convention attendees. You can find out how to register at the discounted rate by visiting the Teach Them Diligently website.

There are planned programs for kids ages 4-11 and separate programs for teens. The convention organizers are leaving it up to parents to decide about their 12-year-olds – if you feel they’re mature enough for the teens program, you can sign them up for it; otherwise, they’re welcome in the program for younger kids.

Because there is something for everyone, you can bring the whole family along…or, do what Brian and I are doing and make it a much-needed weekend getaway for you and your spouse. Me and Brian all alone at the Gaylord Opryland? Um, yeah, that sounds heavenly!

If you register for Teach Them Diligently today or tomorrow (October 1st and 2nd) and use coupon code BESTOFFER , you’ll receive a $20 early bird discount off the price of registration!

If you’re going, which location will you be attending? I’d love to know who to look for in Nashville!

As a member of the Teach Them Diligently blogger team, I have received my conference registration at no cost. I write about the convention on a volunteer basis.  All posts are my own thoughts and do not necessarily reflect the views of Teach Them Diligently. I am not an employee, agent, or contractor of the conference or its organizers.

  1. Thanks for the info Kris! I been to the Opryland a few times for Blissdom & it is awesome. I was so sad that Blissdom is moving to Texas next year and so happy that now I have an excuse to go back….and bring my kids this time! 🙂 They will love it, I’m sure.
