Weekly Weigh-In

Welcome to this week’s Weekly Weigh-in. It’s time to step on that scale again and keep yourself accountable!  That’s the key, I think – ‘fessing up no matter how it goes.

I’ll start.  Despite running in my first 5K, I stayed the same this weekExactly the same to the tenth of a pound.  I’m totally going to blame it on female hormones.  I’m a little disappointed that I didn’t lose, but maintaining is always better than gaining, so I’ll take it!

We got a spin bike this past weekend, so I’ll be adding that to my routine, along with more regular running.  I’m working on getting to the point where I can run for 2 miles without stopping.  My next 5K is going to be on March 31, unless something changes between now and then.  Hopefully, the riding and running will keep my calorie burn ramped up so that I’ll have something more exciting to report next week than just maintaining.

So, how did you do?

  1. I completely forgot to weigh in last week! I guess that means I've lost my obsession with getting on the scale several times a day!

I've lost a total of 25 pounds. So during the last 2 weeks I've had a 4pound loss.

  2. Ran your first 5k? That is soo exciting! I am so happy for ya. =) I am just not a runner. I run out of stamina so quickly, but I do walk a couple miles a day and I'm hoping that's doing my body some good. =)

  3. Congratulations on that 5K!

I'm down .4 lbs. Eh. I'm not thrilled, but any loss is better than a gain, right? 🙂

  4. Joesette and Noodle: Way to go on the loses!

Tanya: I never, ever thought I was a runner either. I'm as shocked as anybody to discover that I actually enjoy it. You'd be surprised at how quickly your stamina builds.

  5. Totally was off blogging mode this week but I did weigh-in on Monday and I lost another pound.

I'm down 9lbs in 11 weeks and have only got three to go until I hit my first target but you know 57 to go till I hit my goal weight!

    Now 13st 7lbs or 189lbs

Well done on the 5K run Kris – can't believe you're already planning for your next two – go you!
