Weekly Weigh-In

Welcome to the Weekly Weigh-In! Who’s still in it with me? I know the longer you go, the harder it can be, but we’ve all just got to keep plugging away.

I wasn’t sure how I’d done this week. I’d missed a workout, but I kept active. I burned crazy calories doing yard work on Saturday and I discovered that volunteering can burn some pretty good calories, too.

I admit, though, I fell off the food logging wagon again. So, I wasn’t totally confident when I stepped on the scale yesterday morning.

I was relieved to find that I’d lost 0.8 pounds – almost a full pound and {this} close to being at a full 75 pounds lost. That’s my goal for next week – to hit that quarter century mark.

So, how did you do this week?

  1. Great job – every little bit counts toward a milestone, doesn't it? I gained last week 3 1/2 pounds and I have no idea why. I walked on the treadmill everday, stopped drinking Pepsi every day, cut out chocolate milk and was watching what I ate. Sometimes I think my scale is going. Needless to say, gains always bring discouragment so this week has been a little rough. I did get back on the treadmill today and will just keep trying.

  2. Go youuuuu!!! Losing 75 lbs is amazing!!

I gained 2.4 lbs this week. My exercise has been consistent but not as intense. The weather has been nice, so I've been walking on the trail instead of on the treadmill. Also I haven't been watching my food choices like I should. I'm VERY annoyed with myself, and it just shows that I've got to do better. :-/

  3. I feel your pain, Jackie! We'll BOTH do better next week! Don't let it be discouraging. Just let it strengthen your resolve!

  4. This is so frustrating, Jackie. Based on those changes, I would totally expect you to drop a couple of pounds. Did you weigh at the same time both times? My weight fluctuates 2-3 pounds throughout the day. I'm always heavier in the afternoon/evening, so I always weigh first thing in the morning.

Is it about time for your period? (Yeah, you don't have to answer that here.) That always makes a difference for me, too. Stupid water weight.

No matter what the cause, like you said, just keep trying. If you keep doing the right things, eventually your body has to change…at least, that's what Jillian Michaels says. 😉

  5. Noodle,

No matter how much or how often I try to convince myself otherwise, not carefully watching my food choices (read: not writing down everything I eat) gets me every time.

You'll do better next week! Just don't quit and the changes will come.
