Weekly Weigh-In

It’s time for another Weekly Weigh-In!  I love hearing how everyone did and providing both you and I with the accountability, so be sure to let me know how YOU did this week.  You can leave your results as a comment or post about them and leave the link in the comments.

I’ve got to say, I don’t think that I would be enjoying the success that I’m enjoying with my own weight-loss if it were not for the accountability that my online friends provide.  Sure, my husband might ask how I’m doing, but knowing that I’m going to have to post it here, in black and white, for the whole world to see provides a level of accountability that simply sharing with my husband or a friend or two could not provide.  So, for all of you who read each week and cheer my successes or commiserate on the off weeks, I want to thank you.  You are a huge part of my success!

So, are you waiting to hear how I did this week?  I lost an even 3 pounds!  I was very excited because I really had trouble hitting my calorie burn consistently last week, so I wasn’t sure what the final result would be.  I am slightly off-track for my overall goal (about 2 pounds off), but I think I can make that up and, honestly?  Consistent loss, at this point, is fine with me, even if the rate isn’t as fast as I’d like to see.  I know weight-loss tends to slow as you get closer to your goals.

And, I’m getting closer to my goal — I’m past the half-way point now!!!  I’ve got less to lose than I’ve already lost.  I know I can do it, because I’ve already done it!  How exciting!

Equally exciting is the fact that I saw 169 on the scale for a second today.  It went back up and held at 170.6, but I saw 169 for a minute, so I know I’m right there.  Probably by next week I’ll be in the 160’s.  I haven’t been there since before I got pregnant with my son.  He’s 10, so it’s been awhile.  I’m also only six-tenths of a pound from 50 pounds lost, so I’m looking forward to some exciting milestones next week.

I’m pumped this week!  I hope you are, too!  I can’t wait to hear how YOU did.

  1. Yay for you!!! I'm having a rough week and don't expect a loss on Friday, again. I'll get back at it though. I have to.

  2. Kris- Good for you! I love that you saw 169 on the scale even for a second. I think a lot of women have those numbers where they know when they last weighed a certain amount. Kind of like big milestones, both mentally and physically. So your right next week will be some even bigger milestones! I'm totally cheering you on!!

  3. Woo Woo! You rock! You're the Grand Pubah of Weight Loss 😉 I didn't post this week because I have some reviews to do, but I'm back down to 162. I'm still +2 lbs from when I began, but that's better than the +5 I saw last week! That was scary.

  4. WOW! Glad you are posting as it is encouraging. Just today I reached the 30lb mark. I am 3/4 of the way to my goal which is give or take a few pounds because I am not sure. I do want to make a post after I finish. When you are done, we have a maintaining McLinky going!

  5. I lost 7 lbs this past week!!!! Seriously! I think part of it was water (basically, part of that came off the week before, but I didn't notice because of PMS last week), and part of it is a stomach bug, but, still, 7 pounds??? There was some fat lost there. I hit 20 lbs even. I am so pleased right now!!!
