Weekly Weigh-In

It’s time for the Weekly Weigh-In.  Get your accountability on! If you’ve ever done Weight Watchers before, you know that you can get one pass to skip a weigh-in, right?  Well, I’m taking a pass this week.  Actually, I weighed in yesterday, as usual; I’m just taking a pass on sharing it with you.

Yeah, it was bad.  It undid the last several weeks of weight-loss and I’m really not sure why.  I stayed as active as usual.  I did have a couple of days where I went over my calorie budget, so I wouldn’t have been surprised to have either stayed the same or had a little gain.  An unexpected date night – that winds up being an almost-twenty-four-hour date night – with your husband can cause some carelessness with eating, but I didn’t think I’d been that careless.  Especially given the fact that part of our date time was spent shopping for new workout clothes as part of my no longer being obese celebration.  Weight-loss was on my mind.

Oh, well.  I’m disappointed, but I’m not stressing over it.  I realized this morning that my whole attitude has changed from my previous weight-loss attempts.  Never once did quitting cross my mind.  All I thought about was working harder this week and making sure I stay on track.

Recalculating.

The fact is you only fail when you quit and I’m not quitting.

What about you?  Did you have a good weigh-in this week or will you be recalculating with me?

  1. I gained exactly 1 pound. 🙁 I will blame it on my daughter's birthday celebration, but it was really my poor food choices during that celebration.

I did manage to walk my 20 miles last week though!

  2. Don't get discouraged…maybe it's all water weight or close to "that time"? Or, maybe you really did just have an off week; and that's ok too!

I had a 2 lb. loss this week…I think all that snow shoveling was worth while after all!

  3. Kris,

I am right there with you! I have weigh-in on Thursday, and I am seriously thinking about taking a pass (I do go to WW – ha!). But, as I type this, I know it would not be the right decision. I have to face what it says – not that it defines me. I just need to recalculate too. The past couple of weeks have been rough mentally. My mind was in just the right spot during the holidays…maybe I got a little prideful? This week has not been terrible, but I do not have a good feeling. Maybe I have not been that truthful in my tracking. Sigh..ok, pity-party over. Thank ou for sharing – you are very encouraging!

  4. Oh, Megan, I so hear you on being prideful. I find myself so guilty of that at times. You're also right that the numbers on the scale do not define us. Even so, I hope your results are better than you're expecting. 😉

  5. Thank you – just got finished watching last night's Made to Crave webcast. So I am convicted and encouraged. : ) Today is the day that the Lord has made – let us rejoice and be glad in it! Taking up my 4-cornered shield and not letting the enemy separate me from the good things God has planned for me on this journey. Hope everyone has a great rest of the day!

  6. I weigh in on Wed and Sunday now (starting this week) because of separate challenges I joined. Wed I gained 1.5 pounds (can you say birthday cake?)
I got lots of exercise in this week, hoping to see a loss tomorrow.
I now blog about my weight loss and spiritual growth here:

Glad you have not stressed, wish I was there. Hope you have been having a better week.
    Blessings
