Weekly Weigh-In

It’s Weekly Weigh-In time!  Have you stepped on that scale this week?  Consider this your accountability and share how you did!  If you haven’t weighed yet, go do it.  We’ll wait.  Or, if it’s not your weigh-in day, just come back when it is and leave your results then.  You don’t have to have the same weigh-in day as me to participate.

I suspected that I might have a good week this week.  I weighed at the Y last Thursday and, while their scale usually weighs me three or four pounds heavier than mine, I was down by a pound on theirs.  I was expecting maybe a three pound loss.  I lost 4.8 lbs.!!  I was ecstatic!  Maybe it was all that walking the neighborhood and bike riding.  If so, I’m going to definitely start getting outside and getting active more often!

Yesterday’s weigh-in (because I officially weigh on Mondays) means that I’m only 2 lbs. away from halfway!  I was hoping to be at 50 pounds removed by the Eclipse premier on June 30, but it looks like I may get there early…and I’m totally fine with that.  I’m really shooting for 60 lbs. lost by then now.

On another exciting note, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve started trying to lose weight and thought to myself that I’d like to be 40 lbs. down by an upcoming doctor’s visit, you know, since they weigh you and all.  I’ve never made it before…until now!  This time I’m down 45 lbs. in time for my doctor’s appointment on Thursday.  I can’t wait to get on that scale!

Did you hit any big, exciting, never-before-met milestones or goals this week?  I’d love to hear about them!

  2. You are doing fantastic! I just started following you. I weighed in yesterday and lost a whopping .02. Oh well, some is better than none, right?

  3. @ Mamosa — Nothing. Not a word from the nurse or the doctor. Makes me wonder if they even look at your chart at all.

I started to say something, but decided not to. I was thinking, though, "You'd better notice next year when there's a skinny person sitting here rather than a fat one!" 😉

  4. Diane, Barbie, and Paige — Thank you so much for the encouragement and support! It helps more than you know!

  5. I'm up 1 pound this week. In addition to the other reasons I told you about, there was one more (female) reason to be up. Next week will be better for sure!

  6. I hate that (female) reason! Ugh! Hope next week is a better one for you. Like you said, this is just a bump in the road on the journey, not a complete derailment.
