Weekly Wrap-Up

Happy Friday, y’all! We’re winding down another busy week with a packed weekend schedule. The packed weekend is a little unusual for us – at least for Brian and I. The kids usually have plans with friends, but we don’t usually have much going on. We’ve got some friends having a pig roast tomorrow night (yum!) and we have a volunteer appreciation event at church Sunday night. So, it will be a busy weekend, but fun.

So, last Friday was crazy! I went and got my grocery shopping done early that morning because I knew I wasn’t going to get another chance. Then, it was home to put the groceries away, do a little house cleaning and start prom prep. Brianna handled hair and make-up. I picked up the corsage and boutonniere. Then, we met up for pictures.

Those kids clean up nice, y’all. Of course, I’m kind of partial to my two:

But all the rest of them clean up pretty nice, too.

This was my favorite picture of the entire night:

Prom Phones

It was totally staged, but I thought it was hilarious.

I got a new phone on Monday. I love it! The primary reason I upgraded was because my camera was so bad on my old phone. I can’t get over the quality of the pictures my new one takes!

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably noticed the influx of pictures this week – and you can probably tell the moment I started taking them with my new phone. I seriously think it may take better pictures than my fancy camera.

The prom picture with everyone on their phones was taken with my old phone, all the rest of the prom pictures were taken with my camera, and the rest of the pictures in this week’s Wrap-Up were taken with my new phone.

Megan and I had some follow-up dental work done Wednesday morning, then, we had Homeschool P.E. and Socialization class. In other words, we met up with friends at the local indoor trampoline park.

Today, I get to hang out with my youngest niece while my sister and brother-in-law celebrate their anniversary. She’s 2 and a little stinker – and so much fun!

What’s been going on with you?

  1. Everyone looks so nice! Your son has red hair?? I come from a family where I have red hair, my mom has red hair, my two brothers have red hair, and not one of my 11 kids has red hair! It’s so nice to know that I did all the work for them all to take after my husband…;)

  2. Oh my goodness, your daughter looks stunning! She is always beautiful but she looks GORGEOUS! And your son! What a very good looking group of teens….must be their genes 🙂
