Weekly Wrap-Up

Happy Friday, y’all! I hope you’ve all had a great week. Mine has been good. We’re knee-deep in wedding plans and preparing for Christmas. We finally got our tree decorated last Saturday.

I poured a big glass of yummy eggnog for Brian and I and we watched Elf while I decorated the tree. I tried to wait until Brianna and Megan were both home, but I finally decided the tree might not get decorated this year if I did that. {sigh}

They grow up too fast.

This one has grown up too fast, too. This is last year and this year.

Sunday, we drove a couple of hours to where Andrew and his family live to meet Brianna’s future in-laws and make some wedding plans. Andrew’s mom and I bonded pretty quickly when she made a Friends reference and I was the only one in the room besides Brianna and Andrew who got it. Yeah, I think we’re going to get along just fine.

My baby boy turns 18 this weekend, y’all. How did that even happen? We’re straightening up the house today since he has friends coming over tonight to celebrate.

We’re finally starting to work out some details about the wedding, which make me feel a little less stressed. Hopefully, I’ll get an answer about the venue today and we can set a firm date. Once we do that, it’s time to start lining up caterers and photographers and musicians, and…{ack!}

I love this girl. She’s so photogenic.

I’ll survive this, right? I know lots of people whose daughters got married and they all survived. Surely, I can do it.

I think Brian and I may go away for the weekend after the wedding.

  1. I love your dog – so very photogenic!!! Happy birthday wishes to your youngest boy! The strangest thing about having teenagers is that I really don’t feel old enough to be their mom!
