Weekly Wrap-Up

Happy Friday! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Our family did. It’s been a busy, busy week, though. I spent all day Monday making Christmas treats. It probably really wouldn’t have taken all day, but since I knew I had all day, I just worked on one thing at a time. It took longer, but it was probably less stressful.

We all did quite a bit of this at my sister’s house.

Tuesday, I got the house straightened up so that my messy house wasn’t forever memorialized in this year’s Christmas pictures. Tuesday afternoon, I started baking the foods I was taking to my sister’s for our celebration there and while I baked, I watched reruns of my new favorite show, Bones.

I discovered Bones during the long wait at the hospital preceding my new niece’s arrival. Yesterday, I purchased Seasons 1 and 2 on DVD so I can start to get caught up. I like watching TV while I walk or run on the treadmill, so I thought this would give me some new material since I’ve watched all 10 seasons of Friends all the way through about a dozen times.

Castle will probably be next. I discovered it at the hospital, too.

Even Josh got in on the action, even though it’s next to impossible to get a real smile out of him.

Wednesday, of course, was spent celebrating Christmas at home, then, heading to Brian’s parents to spend the day with them. I’ve got to admit, Christmas Day had it stressful moments. First, there was the moment when we thought that Brianna’s new computer drawing tablet had wiped out all her photos and Word documents. We had no idea how it could have done that, but it sure seemed that it had. Thankfully, Brian found them and all was well.

Then, there was the ridiculous amount of time we spent trying to move Megan’s iPod songs from an old computer to her laptop so that we could get them added to her Christmas present – an iPod Touch. We got all the ones she wanted, but we didn’t get them all. Now to figure out how to get my music from the old computer to my new one so that I can update my music and purchase some new songs. Technology really should be easier.

I love the look the baby seems to be giving Brianna, who was totally goofing off in this picture.

Yesterday, Brian had to work, but the kids and I went out to have a little fun with our Christmas money. It turned out to be a rather long, busy day…but enjoyable. It’s not too often we all go out shopping for the day.

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!

    1. That made me laugh. 🙂 I kept thinking about – what else? – the Friends episode where the doctor who delivered Phoebe’s babies had to have Happy Days on.

    1. I haven’t heard of Arrow. I may have to check it out…after I get caught up with Bones and Castle. 🙂 Yes, we think my niece is quite the cutie. We’re all very smitten.

  1. Such a beautiful baby…

The hospital I was in this week (a children’s hospital) didn’t have anything great to watch. I was going through Doctor Who withdrawals, when I wasn’t in a freaked-out mom frenzy.

Thank you for doing this, as always. 🙂
