Weekly Wrap-Up

Happy Friday! Once again, I’m getting this post ready for you early because, by the time most of you read this, I’ll be headed to Chicago…for the first time ever!

In the imaginary world in which I sometimes live, I thought I’d have it together enough to post updates from the GHC Convention for this week’s wrap-up. Um, yeah, that’s so not happening.

I have managed, this week, to:

  • Educate my children (though we definitely did not hit every subject)
  • Pick up my new glasses
  • Babysit my niece
  • Put food on the table even though I hadn’t been to the store in almost 2 weeks (I did go stock up for my people yesterday, so they won’t starve while I’m gone)
  • Catch up all the laundry
  • Keep up with all my work (the stuff people actually pay me to do)

(A random photo of my cat lazing around in the sun so that this isn’t a completely photo-less post)

I don’t think that’s half bad considering I was gone from Thursday to Sunday of last week. I’ll be home late Sunday night this time and Brian is off Monday, so I think we’ll all take off and have a day to recuperate. He’ll need it, too, since he played chauffeur all last weekend and will again this weekend – and I’ll just say, there has been a lot of chauffeuring to do.

So, I’ll leave y’all with the Weekly Wrap-Up this week and make a diligent effort to get caught up next week. Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. Have a wonderful weekend away, Kris!
Got to the end of season 7 rather quickly (how come there were only four discs??) Oh my goodness! And season 8 doesn’t arrive until tomorrow! What is a girl (and her husband) supposed to do? I am not a patient woman.

  2. If you can only have one photo, that was an excellent choice 😉

I bet you’re sleeping like a rock! I’m impressed with all that you got done – now you can ‘relax’ and enjoy yourself in Chicago. Have fun!

  3. You had me cracking up more than once in this little post of yours! 🙂 I hope you get to have a more restful week next week! But, if not, I look forward to the transparent, funny post to come. 😉 Thank you for hosting!

    1. Your comment made me laugh. I think this week’s post may be of the more restful variety. Maybe. It’s still been a busy weekend.
