Weekly Wrap-Up

Happy Friday, y’all! I hope you’ve had a great week. It’s been a good one here – busy, but good. The weather has been decidedly spring-like. We’ve had the heat off and the doors and windows open. It’s been gorgeous!

First, I have some exciting news. Brianna graduated cosmetology school this week! She still has to take her state board exams, but then she’ll be a licensed cosmetologist. I’m so proud of her!

Second, remember last week that I said I might tell you that I didn’t have time to write my Weekly Wrap-Up? Well, I didn’t have time to write my Weekly Wrap-Up. I’ve been busy making sure everything is in order at home and school was caught up because I’m headed to Texas today!

I’ll be at the Homeschool Moms’ Winter Summit until Sunday while Brian and the kids hold down the fort at home. I know Brianna works tonight and Megan is going to a friend’s, so there is some wild guys night stuff planned for Brian, Josh, and a couple of friends.

Okay, that was not quite true. They are having a guys-only night, but I doubt that the wild part is going to happen.

If you’re in the area of San Marcos, Texas, I think you can still snag a ticket and join us for the Summit. I’d love to see you there!

Please pray for a safe flight. I love to fly, so I’m excited about it. Also, please pray for Josh as he prepares to play on the main worship team again this Sunday. I am totally Face Timing Megan during service so I can watch. Yes, really.

Brian might appreciate a prayer or two as well. He’s a perfectly capable dad and our kids are pretty self-sufficient, but sometimes it’s rough being the only parent at home.

Have a great weekend, y’all!

  1. Congrats on her graduating cosmetology school!!

Enjoy the summit. I can imagine that you will bring encouragement and refreshment to many weary homeschool moms.
