Weekly Wrap-Up: The one with all the review

Happy Friday, y’all! Have you had an amazing week? It’s been gorgeous here. I’m dreading Saturday when the high is only supposed to be in the forties again. It’s supposed to warm back up after that, though – just in time for our spring break next week.
It’s been a review week for the kids and chapter tests are today. They’ll both be glad when they’re finished with their tests and can get started on spring break.
We took another trip to the jump park this week since all the kids’ friends couldn’t go last week. I love the jump park. The kids have fun and I can sit and listen to (mostly) good music and goof off on Facebook for awhile. It’s a nice break in the middle of the week.
It was especially enjoyable this week since a friend I haven’t seen in awhile brought her kids this week. It was nice to have a chance to catch up. It wasn’t nice for the kid (not one of ours) who had to be carried out on a stretcher. I didn’t see what happened. It looked like she hurt her knee. It was a sobering reminder of how easy it can be to get hurt on trampolines.
Megan has started a YouTube channel. She’s been wanting to for awhile, but Brian and I had some safety concerns. She has a very good friend who has a channel and the whole filming and editing process has been such a learning experience for her that we finally gave in. We’ve got some guidelines in place, so hopefully it will be a good experience.
Josh has had a channel for awhile, but he’s older and his is just a gaming channel, so his face is never seen. That seems a bit safer. Parenting in the digital age is not for the faint of heart, y’all.
I realized last week that I forgot to share my About.com articles with you. Maybe no one was sad about that, but I like to think that they’re interesting and just an extension of the kind of things I share here. So here are the ones you’ve missed lately, if you’re not following the Homeschooling channel on About.com – which you totally can. Just sayin’.

Those are basically the highlights of our week. Megan did get a nifty new customized planner from A Plan in Place. We’re already really impressed with it and I’ll be sharing a review in May.
We also recently got a package from History Unboxed. It came with a really cool hands-on project that’s right up Megan’s alley. I think it’s going to make a fun spring break project next week. Look for a review of History Unboxed next month.
And, now I’m off to begin enjoying the last weekend of March. How in the world did that happen? I’m not going to lie, though – April can go by just as quickly. I’m ready for spring to be here to stay!
