It’s almost a homeschooling parent’s favorite time of year – homeschool convention time! The first Great Homeschool Conventions event of the 2014 is coming up in less than a month in Greenville, SC. March 20-22, Great Homeschool Conventions will be at TD Convention Center in Greenville.

Why should you attend the Greenville event?

Southern Sweet Tea

Really, did y’all expect me to start with anything else? Being in the heart of the South means you’ll have lots of opportunities to indulge in some authentic Southern sweet tea. If you’re one of those poor souls who’s never experienced sweet tea, you’ve got to give it a try.

Homeschool Convention Locations, Dates and Speakers

Fantastic Speakers

When you’re not sipping on sweet tea, you can listen to such amazing speakers as:

  • Heidi St. John
  • Michael Medved
  • Dr. Jay Wile
  • Dr. Susan Wise Bauer
  • Matt Walsh
  • Cathy Duffy
  • Todd Wilson

Amazing Vendors

One of my favorite things about attending homeschool conventions is getting to physically look through all the amazing curriculum I’ve read about online and talk to the vendors. You’ll find a vendor hall full of some of the best homeschooling curriculum out there, such as:

  • Alpha Omega
  • Apologia
  • Teaching Textbooks
  • Rainbow Resource
  • IEW
  • Geography Matters

Hilarious Comedy

After a busy day of shopping, you’ll want to unwind. What better way to do that than by enjoying the comedy of Mark Lowery? He’ll be at the Greenville event on Friday night.

Fun for the Entire Family

A Great Homeschool Conventions event has something for the entire family:

  • Children’s conference
  • Teen track
  • Parenting track
  • Homeschooling 101

So, if you’re ready to get the 2014 homeschool convention season started with a bang, register for the Greenville, SC event today! It’s less than a month away.

  1. Why, oh why, did my husband use his vacation days already? I’ve never been to a homeschool convention, but I’m dying to get to one- especially in the south where I’m hoping to live one day. This snow is seriously driving me nuts!
