In case the puppy didn’t cement the case for insanity for me, wanna see my early anniversary present?? (Or it could be my “losing over 20 pounds” present…I’m at 22.5 lbs lost as of today! Woo hoo!) Okay here it is…..

His (and I use the gender loosely…we have no idea if it’s male or female) name is Indy (short for Indiana…as in Jones) and he’s a hatchling corn snake. What a cool science lesson!! 😉 And, yes, he is mine and he was my idea. Please don’t have me committed. I have to be at home to school my kids. lol

  1. I knew it!! I just knew it!! YOU ARE INSANE!!! LOL I guess we’ll have to come visit before you get a cat too!! ;o)

  2. That’s really cool! We looked at a corn snake instead of a lizard until they told me that they can grow to almost 5 feet long at maturity!!

  3. Yuck!! You are insane! You know that thing will grow huge, right? LOL I do all kinds of pets, but the two I won’t allow are mice and snakes. Locksley will be begging to come over when she hears. She has wanted one for so long.
And CONGRATULATIONS on loosing over 20 lbs! That is awesome!

  4. Okay, I just answered my own question about the corn snake Brianna was telling me about yesterday. I had a king snake once, King Arthur was his name, but he got no where near as large as Indy will get! BTW, that’s a revolutionary idea for the anniversary gift charts that Hallmark publishes…16 years, SNAKE!

  5. Congrats on the weight loss!!! That is Awesome!!!!!! We would love a snake of some sort but if we ever got one it would mean that my parents would never again step foot in our home. My mom can hardly look at a stuffed animal type snake- pictures or movies- forget about it!!! I don’t want to have to feed mice to one either, but I love the look of them and how the feel. Very cool gift!

  6. Oh, that is so cool!!! I had a ball python hatchling shortly after getting out of college, and it was one of the best pets I’ve ever owned. Unfortunately he mysteriously disappeared one day and was never seen again. I miss “Dave”.

WTG on your weightloss! I’m down 12, and trying to scrounge up some motivation this week. Keep up the good work (but consider something other than pets for future goal celebrations, LOL!).
