If there’s one thing that homeschoolers love — I’d hazard to guess, universally — it’s books.  Homeschool Library Builder  was created for homeschooling moms by homeschooling moms.

Homeschool Library Builder offers new and gently used books at affordable prices so that you can build your homesschool library.  Many of the books carried by HSLB are those used by such popular literature-based curricula as Sonlight, Ambleside, and Five in a Row.

You can search for their wide selection of books by keyword, reader’s age range, category, even country or region. HSLB even carries many out-of-print books and will search for out-of-stock books for you.

The folks at Homeschool Library Builder enjoy giving back to homeschoolers and the community at large.  Through their Helping Hand program, HSLB allocates a portion of certain book sales to raise money to help those in need, such as an autistic boy in need of a service dog, Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child, or the people of Haiti.

Their Product Marketing page offers fellow homeschoolers and others get the word out about new products and services.  The Spotlight on the Season page offers links to sites previewed and selected by the HSLB moms the feature ideas and activities for the current season, so that you don’t have to search for them yourself.

Visit Homeschool Library Builder to browse through the wide variety of books offered or to learn more about the benefits of membership.  It’s free, as is use of the site.  I found the books to be very reasonably priced and, as long as you’re willing to wait for media mail, the shipping rates are reasonable, too.

I was disappointed in the priority mail rates – more than the cost of the book I wanted to order, in my case – especially since it was a book I needed to have quickly so I was afraid to take my chance with media mail, which is usually only a few days, but can be as long as 10 days in the continental U.S.

I received this product free for the purpose of reviewing it.  I received no other compensation for this review.  The opinions expressed in this review are my personal, honest opinions.  Your experience may vary.
