I had such a unique experience this weekend. I got to participate, for the first time, in Scott Kelby’s National Photo Walk.  I opted to participate in the Blue Ridge, Georgia walk since I had never been to Blue Ridge, but had heard that it’s beautiful.  Aside from taking a wrong turn on the way home and going way out of the way —  in the woods, in the dark — we had a wonderful time.

One of my favorite fun photos of the day was this one I took of Brian and I:

K & B Self-portrait

It was in front of this incredibly mirrored building.  I took the photo in the reflection, but you can barely tell that it’s a reflection.  (I also like it because, after losing 60 lbs., I finally have a waist again.)

Some of my favorite photos from the day:

BS Bench
Rooster Xing

I loved seeing water bowls for dogs outside a great many of the shops in Blue Ridge.  Apparently, it’s a very dog-friendly place.

Each walker is allowed to enter one photo in the photo walk contest.  I don’t really expect to win or anything, but, hey, I definitely won’t win if I don’t enter, right?  Here’s my entry, just because it was my personal favorite:

  1. Great pics! I signed up for a local Photo Walk this year, but never heard back after signing up. I never got told where to go, where to meet up, etc. I was very disappointed in the local person who decided to organize one. So I think next year I will take matters into my own hands and organize one.

  2. A photo walk, what a great idea. I loved the one with the water bowl, don't know why, it just appealed to me. Congratulations on your weight loss!

  3. Oh, love the pic of you and Brian. You look fab, girl, and he looks so cheery.

I love your W picture … especially with the background being what it is.

    Great job, Kris!

  4. Everyone but me seems to know who Scott Kelby is. I guess I need to find out, huh? Glad you got to go! I hear it's pretty incredible to hang with him on one of his photowalks.
