There’s not much I like better than simple-to-prepare recipes. Both of the recipes below can be made with five ingredients or fewer and are favorites at our house.

Macaroni and bacon casserole

Macaroni and Bacon Casserole

1 box of macaroni and cheese, prepared by package directions
7-8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 can diced tomatoes
1/3 c sour cream
1 c cheddar cheese

Mix all ingredients together, reserving some cheddar cheese to sprinkle on the top. Top with cheese and bake at 350 for 20 minutes.

Chicken Roll-ups

1 can cooked chicken
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 c sour cream (I never really measure this)
1 c cheddar cheese (or this)
2 cans crescent rolls

Mix together soup, sour cream and cheese. Add to chicken, reserving some for topping. Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture on each crescent roll, roll up and place in a greased casserole dish. Top with remaining soup/sour cream/cheese mixture. Bake at 350 degrees until crescent rolls are browned.

Your little redheads are just darling! I’m not a homeschooler, but some of my dearest friends are, and I ‘get’ the t-shirts, LOL! Honestly, the homeschooled kids I know are more socialized than most public school kids. I’m pretty sure I’ve never met one who lives in a cave and studies by firelight…all alone and sad. Pathetic little things…(Just kidding!)

Ok, I need to know where you got those shirts! I’d love to have two for my homeschooled boys – hilarious!

I promise I’m not being snarky. But what is a can of cooked chicken???

It’s pre-cooked chopped chicken breast in a can. You can usually find it near the canned meats, like tuna or Spam (if you can consider Spam a meat).
