The following is a sponsored guest post from Build Your Bundle featuring tips on how to save money on your homeschool curriculum.

Learn how you can save up to 92% on homeschool resources!

There are times when, as parents, we sit back and wonder to ourselves if homeschooling is worth it. It takes vast amounts of time and energy and the financial cost—well, it can be pretty steep.

You and I both know that even with the financial strain and our dwindling energy, it is absolutely worth it! Still, it would be pretty sweet if there was some way we could preserve our time, energy (and sanity), and save money on homeschooling resources. I’ve got a little secret: homeschooling doesn’t have to be so expensive!!

The truth is, finding excellent homeschool curriculum at low prices is a reasonable feat. And, it doesn’t need to take you a ton of time to do so. You simply have to know what you’re looking for.

I’ve got some tips on how you can do just that.

Find resources for free online.

There are a wealth of free homeschooling resources online. Make sure you are taking advantage of them!

One of my favorite sites for finding homeschooling freebies and deals is Free Homeschool Deals. They have curated a ton of printables, coupons, tips & tricks, and apps to make homeschooling affordable for more families. They even added a few extras to ease some of the stress of managing kids, home, school, work, and whatever else comes your way – like meal planning and kid-friendly recipes.

Make sure you sign up to receive their newsletter because they frequently send out freebies that are exclusive to those on their list!

Get outside and learn from your surroundings.

For many of us, as the weather warms up, maintaining our children’s focus becomes a bit more difficult. They are itching to get outside and let’s be honest, so are you! Why fight it? Research shows that children who spend more time learning from their natural surroundings tend to be more engaged in their studies, whether those studies take place in or outside.

So get them out into nature, incorporate it into your lesson planning, and take advantage of the endless natural learning tools that are all around you.

You don’t have to live in farm country or take them into the mountains for hikes to enjoy the many benefits of outdoor learning. Whether you are in the city or the country, there are ecosystems all around you—your yard, parks, a green patch on a busy city block—literally everywhere!

An added bonus of learning from nature, many of the tools needed to teach are absolutely free!

Participate in curriculum bundling events.

Parents who have been homeschooling for quite some time keep tabs on when all of the best curriculum sales take place. There are companies out there who spend their year putting together bundles of some of the top homeschooling products so parents can purchase an entire year’s curriculum without the time and stress involved in locating such resources individually. Plus, because they are offered as bundles, the price is often unbelievably discounted. Then, they host online events to release the bundles all at once. But, because the contents of the bundles are sourced from other vendors, they can only offer these amazing deals for a short period of time or they would put those contributing products out of business (so you really have to pay attention to when the sales are).

One such company is Build Your Bundle. For the last 5 days, thousands of other parents have been taking advantage of the Build Your Bundle 6th annual homeschooling bundle event and saving as much as 92% on some of the best learning tools on the market. It’s truly one of my favorite homeschooling online events! It differs from some of the others out there because it offers products in both pre-built and build-your-own formats. Their goal is to provide access to high-quality and affordable curriculum for homeschooling families.

I’m incredibly excited about the products included in this year’s sale and I’m pretty sure you will be too! There are over 20 online courses and memberships, numerous selections for business-minded students, 22 Cathy Duffy approved products, a multitude of resources for STEM studies, Charlotte Mason inspired materials, and curriculum ranging from preschool through high school.

You can check all of this year’s offerings here!

But, you need to do it soon because there are only two days left in the sale. On May 22nd at 11:59 PM CST, the event will end and these bundles will be gone for at least a year. So don’t miss out!

You see, homeschooling doesn’t need to be expensive and you aren’t required to spend endless hours sourcing tools. Take advantage of the work other people have done for you, utilize free resources, and get outdoors when you can!
