Weekly Weigh-In

It’s time for another Weekly Weigh-In. This is my third post-Thanksgiving weigh-in since I began my transformation.

The first year I lost 4.2 pounds. Last year I lost 4 pounds. This year…

Yeah, I wasn’t really counting on another 4-pound loss, but it sure would have been nice. I’ll take the solid 1 pound loss, though!

Yes, I lost a pound. Given the fact that my weight has refused to drop below 132 since August and the fact that it was Thanksgiving week, I’ll take that one pound that puts me at 131.2! I was actually quite thrilled with it. I may or may not have done a little happy dance on the scale.

That puts me at 88.8 pounds lost – which, rounded, is 89 pounds – and only 6.2 pounds away from my goal. That makes me very, very happy.

One of the things that I’m really thankful for, besides my health and my victory over obesity in general – is the fact that I’ve found a form of exercise – running – that I love. I had the turkey trot on Thanksgiving Day and this weekend my family and I will be participating in our first family run.

They’ll be walking (possibly running) in the one-mile fun run/walk, while I compete in my second 10K. I’m looking forward to it. It’s going to be a lot of fun having my whole family there to cheer me on and to have them joining in the fun this time.

How was your post-Thanksgiving Day weigh-in? How do you get your family involved in your healthy lifestyle?

Do or do not. There is no try.
