Weekly Wrap-Up

Happy Friday, y’all! I hope you’ve all had an amazing week. Aside from Wednesday, mine has been good. I don’t know what happened with poor Wednesday. It started out on a high note – an online special I’ve been watching for since November was finally offered. (Nothing exciting if you’re not a blogger. It was a sale on stock images.)

After that – well, even including that – it went completely downhill. First, I used the wrong email address for the sale and was afraid I wouldn’t be able to get the credit to the right account. I did, but worrying about it started my stress level on the rise.

Then, I had two online issues that I had to deal with. One wasn’t stressful; it just ate up some time I’d planned to spend on other things. The other one was very stressful and took up the majority of the day.

On top of that, there were tornado watches out and it was a gloomy day all around. We went to Chick-fil-A and I picked at my sandwich, y’all. At Chick-fil-A. That’s a sure sign of stress.

I was happy to wake up to sunshine and a much less stressful, more productive morning on Thursday. I was also thankful that Monday had been such a productive work day for me.

In school, I got to brush up on my algebra skills this week. Megan had gotten a bit behind in math, so we spend Monday and Tuesday playing catch-up, working together on the problems from a few lessons that she had trouble with. The good news is it was stuff that is easy for me and it made sense to her by the time we finished.

I love me some Teaching Textbooks!

I got my hair cut Tuesday. I always procrastinate on getting my hair cut and had planned to wait a few more weeks, but I took Megan last week and was reminded of something very important. Our stylist is very pregnant. She’s due within the next couple of weeks and then she’ll be on maternity leave. Yep! It was time for a hair cut.

On Monday, I received a chalk lettering book that I ordered from Amazon. I thought it would help me be more creative with my chalkboard and my Bible study journal. This was my first attempt at a bit more creative lettering. Though I can see the mistakes and areas for improvement, I’m really happy with the way it turned out.

Y’all may need to say a prayer for me. The homeschool prom is coming up next month. Last year, Josh, Megan, and a few friends decided to go at the last minute – as in, we went shopping for a dress on Monday and the prom was Friday.

I’m weird (y’all new that). I work better last-minute like that. This year, Megan is already planning to go with her boyfriend and she wants to start shopping for a dress this month. I can already feel the hives starting to break out. {sigh} I don’t know how I’m going to survive wedding planning some day.

  1. I’m sorry you had a rotten Wednesday. Those types of days always make one appreciate the good days 🙂
I love your lettering! I have a black board where I write what we will eat each week….only I never change it. Everyone is always impressed by my apparent organisation – they are less impressed when I tell them I’ve not changed it since before Christmas…oh, and when they find out we are having curry on a fish day!

  2. I also always procrastinate when getting my hair done, why do we do that. Then I am say I should have done it sooner, but I know I will do it again. I am thankful the possibility of prom is a few more years away, prayers!
