Happy Friday, y’all! Oh, my word. What a crazy-busy week it’s been. It’s the kind of busy that’s made it fly by – which isn’t a bad thing because we’re on break next week. It’s my mid-winter, sanity-saving break.

We had a blast last Saturday! My girls, my sister, her oldest daughter, and I went to a place where you paint your own pottery. I was the only one who had never done it before. It was so much fun! We’re already talking about doing it again.

We get to pick up our pieces tomorrow, so I’ll have to post pictures of the finished products next week. The colors are supposed to be much darker after they’re fired.

Monday, we had lunch with Brian’s parents and Tuesday I had breakfast with my mom and my sister. It was nice having some time to catch up with everyone. It was also nice not having to leave the house to go anywhere on Wednesday. I’m such a homebody.

Thursday was crazy. I took three cats to the vet for rabies shots, got home in time to scarf down a loaded potato from the barbeque place next to the vet’s office before heading out to the physical therapist for the neck pain I’ve been having, came back home to discover the one cat I was missing that morning sitting on my porch, so I grabbed him, put him in a pen, and went back to the vet’s, got home in time to unload the dishwasher and make dessert and a dish for dinner at my sister’s house, and left again.

Yes, I know what a run-on sentence is, but a period in a sentence indicates a stop and there was no stopping yesterday. There was school that took place in the midst of all that chaos which makes me thankful for teens who can work independently.

I also shared some tips at About.com this week for celebrating Valentine’s Day as a homeschool family. You’ve still got a few days, so head over there to see if you can pick up any new ideas.

While you do that, I’m going to see if I can gather my wits. Wish me luck!

Hi Kris, your pottery looks great. An all girl outing sounds like fun… but back and forth with cats does not! lol I’ve had a blogging break recently and been out of the groove posting Homeschool Friday reflections, just got back into gear this week. I mention you in my post Homeschool post for today. Feeling nostalgic because I celebrated 8 years on my blog this week and I still remember you from my early days of posting and how encouraged I always was through reading your Friday posts and then be given the opportunity to visit others through your link-up party. Thank you for keeping on keeping on! You continue to bless my heart.

I’ve been wanting to try a paint your own pottery class with my boys! It looks like so much fun.
