Weekly Wrap-Up

Happy Friday, y’all! Who’s ready for the weekend? I am – except that Brianna has two wedding showers this weekend. {gasp} First of all, the showers are an indicator of how close we’re getting to wedding day. Second, that’s a lot of socializing for this introverted homebody. {grin}

Guess what! I found my mother-of-the-bride dress! Y’all know how much I was dreading shopping, right? Well, last Sunday, Megan had to work. Since I was going to have to go to the mall anyway to pick her up and since I was already going-out-in-public ready because we’d been to church that morning, I decided I might as well go early and do some shopping.

I got my riding buddy a backseat hammock cover. Now she can ride closer to the front. (She was in the cargo area.)

I found a few possibilities, but I didn’t get anything because I wanted to think about it. I kept thinking that this one dress from Dillard’s would have been my favorite, but they didn’t have my size. I searched Dillard’s online and they didn’t have it either, so I decided to try Amazon.

Score!

It arrived on my doorstep Wednesday and it fits perfectly. I love it! I even have shoes to go with it.

Not only that, but I found a dress for the rehearsal, too. No, most people probably wouldn’t need a new dress for that, but around here it’s jeans or yoga pants. Neither seemed appropriate for the wedding rehearsal.

In other news, it’s decided to be winter again. I knew it would, but it’s always hard to go back to cold weather after a week or two of warm weather. I’m ready for honest-to-Pete spring.

In school news. Well, I have two teenagers. That’s about all there is to say about that. My job to is get them up in the mornings so they can get started on school. Well, you know, except Josh since he works third and is already up in the mornings and is usually fairly self-motivated.

In sorta, kinda school news, Belle graduated puppy school. Love the mortarboard.

I can’t wrap my mind around the fact that next year, I’ll only be homeschooling Megan. {sigh} The years go by so quickly.

Alright, before I need to pull out the tissues, let’s change the subject. If you need something to break you out of the winter, cabin-fever rut, I’m running a giveaway for an Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greece Online Unit Studies Bundle. Enter today because the giveaway ends 3/12/18.
