Weekly Wrap-Up

Happy Friday, y’all! Oh, my goodness! I know I open the Weekly Wrap-Up talking about the weather way too often, but, y’all! We’ve gotten a little preview of spring this week! It’s been amazing.

We’ve broken records for high temps in the upper-seventies. It even hit 80 degrees on Wednesday. I’ve had my doors and window open, letting the breeze blow through the house. I know we’re in for more winter, but I have been soaking up the spring-like weather while I can.

It’s been a fun week. Brian was off through Wednesday and with the warm weather it felt like a mini-vacation even though we didn’t do anything. The rhythm of my days are affected by his work schedule so everything was just a bit more relaxed than usual.

School is coming along. Josh is interested in maybe having some rental properties after he graduates, so he asked me to order him a couple of books on the topic. I love how self-motivated he can be. He’s been reading the books on his breaks at work and telling me about the things he’s learning. I love when the kids jump into a topic that interests them.

Wedding plans are progressing. We’re starting to get down to the detailed planning. That may explain why I’ve been having frequent headaches. Y’all, if I had the money, I would totally hire a wedding planner. I would love for my primary role in the whole planning process to be writing checks. Because making decisions? So not my thing.

You know, I keep thinking that I’m okay with Brianna getting married but the other day I looked at her wedding registry on Amazon. I almost cried, y’all. Over a gift registry. It was all this stuff for my baby to set up her own household. {sigh}

Yeah, I’m going to be a blubbering mess on wedding day.

Everyone was enjoying the breeze.

She has two showers coming up in a couple of weeks. I’ll probably be a blubbering mess for those, too. I have this gift for Brianna that I’ve been working on for quite some time. I can’t say more about it right now, but, yeah, I’ll probably need some tissues for that one.

I guess that’s all the news in the life of a homeschool mom with teens and a young adult. It’s exciting stuff, y’all. I really do love it, though.
