Weekly Wrap-Up: The one with some yoga and stuff

September 8, 2017 By Kris Bales

Weekly Wrap-Up

Happy Friday, y’all! I hope each of you have had a great week.Ours has been okay as we’ve gotten back to a full course load. We’ve already been juggling our schedule with two unexpected doctor visits on Wednesday, but it hasn’t been too bad.

Josh has been working through a coding class we purchased from Udemy. Megan has been getting into American history and biology. Of course, both have been working on their math lessons, reading, writing, and such.

We had a little visitor on our front porch last week.

The week has not been without its trials, but they are the personal kind that I can’t really talk about here right now. It’s the kind of stuff that makes it very difficult to write a Weekly Wrap-Up post because I can’t be all, “We had a super-fantastic week,” but I can’t go into detail either.

Prayers for wisdom and guidance for all involved would be appreciated. I am thanking for loving, caring friends and family who sometimes surprise me with the depth of their love, and for God-moments with complete strangers.

I’m trying – again – to get back to a healthier lifestyle. Except, you know, “Do or do not. There is no try.” Awhile back, I was doing a yoga routine that I really liked, but it was always the same and the explanations got old once I knew – kind of – what I was doing.

This week, I discovered the Down Dog app on the Apple App Store. (I may be going a bit crazy with apps on my new phone. There are so many more options on iPhone!) I just started it yesterday, but so far I really like it. Doing yoga outside on my deck on a cool fall morning is not a bad way to start a day.

Today is Josh’s BFF’s birthday. They and their other BFF have headed out of town for a day of Go-Karts and guy stuff. It’s kind of weird when you get so used to your kids driving that a trip a couple of hours away doesn’t make you a nervous wreck. I’m still praying for their safety, but I’m not sick with worry over them.

It’s been such a pretty week that I had to take my laptop on the deck to work.

I guess that’s it for me this week, friends. Enjoy your weekend! I’m praying for all of you who are in Irma’s path.

How was your week? Be sure to post about it and link up. If this is your first time to join us, be sure to read the Weekly Wrap-Up guidelines. You can also follow the guidelines link to grab the banner code.

I’m sorry there are issues for you. Right now we’ve got so many extended family issues going on I feel like I’m caught in a soap opera vortex or something. Praying for you all!

Good for you on the yoga. I’ve fallen off the gym wagon myself and just can’t seem to get the mojo going.

Prayers for your trials. Sometimes life is tough, but God is faithful. Have you ever tried the YouTube channel Yoga with Adrianne? I like her variety and lack of music!

Thank you for your prayers. That yoga channel sounds familiar, so I may have tried it. I’ll have to check my subscriptions. Thanks!

I’ve just started yoga this year. I’m a big fan of yoga with Adriene – she’s very encouraging of beginners and has heaps of videos to pick from. I might check out the Down Dog app for when I feel like a change. Hoping the trials ease and that next week is super-fanstastic.
